Mental Health
The Issue: Mental Health
Mental Health has been an ongoing concern for Waterloo Region residents since before the pandemic, with 18% reporting fair or poor mental health.
United Way WRC funded organizations have made it clear – mental health issues for their clients are more complex, and wait times have increased. Poorer mental health outcomes are more likely, including stress related to work or income loss, concerns over family well-being and experiences of anxiety and depression. Together, we can help each other take care of our mental health to build a stronger community.
