"When I joined the United Way Cabinet in 2023, I was returning to the Waterloo region after many years away. The United Way Cabinet has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to learn about the social needs of the community in which I work, grow my network, and use my influence to find synergies between what I do every at work and the social needs of the community, as well as the opportunity to give back.
As a Woman in Leadership, we have a role to play in uplifting others – that role extends beyond our professional and personal network to those around us in the community. By joining Women United, it provides me with an opportunity to do just that. It's above giving me the forum to connect with other women, support those in leaning into their generosity – whether that is through donations or through their talent and time – to make a lasting impact."
