The March of 1,000 Umbrellas is a vibrant celebration of unity, hope, and collective impact. This spirited parade brings together United Way, our dedicated non-profit partners, and our supportive community in a powerful show of solidarity, launching our annual campaign and showcasing the power of collective impact.

Join us to launch United Way WRC’s 2025 Campaign – the largest fund-raising campaign in the region – with March of 1,000 Umbrellas.Â
Itinerary
11:00 AM: Gather at Waterloo City Hall (100 Regina St S, Waterloo, ON N2J 4P9)
11:30 AM: Departure
12:15 PM- 1:00 PM:Â Arrive to Entertainment & Lunch at Carl Zehr Square – Kitchener City Hall
Walking Route
The route takes approximately 40 minutes.
